According to a post on Timesharetalk Forum , owners of Thurnham Vacation Club are being told in a letter from DRI that the TVC is being wound up and they are being forced to choose between floating weeks at Cromer Country Club or DRI points. Besides TVC, inventory at Thurnham Hall is owned by DRI's points program.
DRI's predecessor, Sunterra, bought Thurnham Leisure industries out of bankruptcy, which included unsold inventory and common areas at Thurnham Hall, Cromer Country Club, and Club Brittania. Before the DRI takeover of Sunterra, Sunterra itself gave owners at Club Britannia a similar ultimatum, then closed the resort and sold it.
DRI has given a similar ultimatum to fixed week owners at Wychnor Park. Since taking over from Sunterra, it has also sold Carlton Court resort in central London, but that resort was already all points, so there was no need to force anyone out in order to sell it.
