Need Some Advice/Thoughts

Went to the Cozumel Palace last month and ended up getting talked into exchanging our Royal Solaris TS to Palace, cost us about $2,000 to do so. This week got a call from the Palace people who are now offering us to keep the Solaris TS for what started out at $2,450 and is now down to $750. Now the deal with Solaris is that we have four weeks a year at either Cabo or the two Solaris resorts in Cancun, and we have NO maintenance fees. The Palace guy says we can either sell or rent the Solaris TS and come out way ahead in less than a year. Anybody have any thoughts on whether or not we should keep both, which if we did go along with the deal will give us 8 weeks a year in Mexico, something I certainly cannot use now but after retirement in a few years who knows. Thoughts please....

No maintenances fees, huh? I am guessing perhaps that this is an all-inclusive resort. What are the AI fees?

We have no MF for six weeks of Mayan Palace due to "senior certificate" - 1/2 MF @ when you reach 75, no MF at 77. When this resort claims no MF do you qualify due to your age?

AI fees typically ~$110 pp/night. However, this past fall they went down to $55-65 pp/night trying to get people down there. FWIW, we don't have a MF at the Palace either but AI is more.
