Car rental at Puerto Vallarta airport

Do any of the car rental companies at the Puerto Vallarta airport still keep their cars at the airport (like they used to do years ago), or do they all now require riding a shuttle to pickup the car?

PVR is kinda small so no cars at the terminal. Avis is the cloesest and has a shuttle.

Yeah - even with the expansion PVR is pretty crowded. Many flights still don't get a gate; the plane parks on the tarmac somewhere and a bus shuttles passengers to and from the terminal.
