Sorry I have not been around for some time now. I am going through another divorce and have not had to much computer time since last September.
After staying last year at Xpu-Ha Palace (RCI #6344) I fell in love with Palace resorts and can not wait to get back. I know All inclusive is not for everyone but I am very partial to the all inclusive option, I really do enjoy having my vacation budget figured before I leave home.
Last year did the 3 nights free, AI fees for 2 were around $1350. Today When I called RCI they let me know about the new promo being offered by Palace where if you pay the AI fee atleast 30 days before arrival they will give you $1500 to spend on booking excursions, golf, spa services, and Lobster and Champaign dinners. The AI fee in the fall is $1924 for 2. From the $1924 I can use $1500 towards all the things listed above. Last year we did Chichen Itza, Paradise Snorkeling and spent a day at the spa and spent more than this years AI fees at the promo rate offerd last year.
Needless to day I am very excited to go back again this year. The list of excursions was somewhat limited but still a very good choice. I do believe that the options were Chichen Itza, Tulum, Koba, Zip Line, Jungle Tour, Swimming with the Dolphins, Wet and Wild, and maybe one or two more. I really wanted to swim with the dolphins last year but was around $150 per person.
The Guide also told me that If I was to travel before the end of August the price was lower and I could take 2 kids under the age of 12 for even less than the fall prices. . . .
Dang I already have my summer trip planned and will be leaving in 10 days.
Now here is the Piece de Resistance. The rental prices online are less than an exchange fee $161.99 and you can check in any day of the week. . .
I am now searching for flights and trying hard to figure out if this year it will be Playacar Palace, Cozumel Palace, Aventura or the Moon Palace. Since I will be travelling with a golf buddy this year I am leaning towards Aventura or Moon.
Now off to find a good flight.
