Promises

Same here, they promised anytime that we could not use it that they would rent it out for us and we would get the credit for the rental. We are still paying for this but wondering how we get ourselves out of this mess. I loved Cancun but buying a timeshare was not the smartest thing we have ever done!

Angelikskier I noticed in another thread that you mentioned that sunset world was working with you to rectify your issues. What have they done for you?

Rick Lasker - I don't know what else needs to be said to clearly understand that everyone on here has been scammed. I have to argue with them about everything, including my stay. One person is trying to make me pay more money for all inclusive when it says in my contract a specific amount. When I called them out on it, they said that the rate with more money included a show. I told them that they can't assume I want that and they should charge me what I contracted to pay. They also claim that they wouldn't give me my 2 bedroom that I own if I didn't have enough people. I should get what I paid to own. I argued that too until they agreed to give me my 2 bedroom. They also were on top of everything when I was looking to book a room but then ignored me and any emails when I wanted to get an amount of money they would pay me to buy back. They are scamming! Nobody should buy from them. I own at another exchange group and they offer stay at Sunset group with the OPTION of using all inclusive or not. I asked Sunset about this and they claim there is no way. I called my exchange company asking any mistakes or misunderstandings I may have had but they confirmed that the all inclusive is an option when done through them. As an owner at Sunset, I pay more money to reserve then doing it through an exchange company. Sunset couldn't explain that. They only said that I was more than welcome to reserve through my exchange company if I wanted. I told them the entire point is "why do I, as an owner, pay more than a non-owner would?". Never got an answer. I plead anyone and everyone not to buy through them. There are cheaper ways to stay at that resort without getting screwed!

more promises not fuflilled!

they telephoned us when i told them i was going to contact as many people as possible to tell them to avoid sunset world and i have contacted travel agengies, magazines, tv stations etc in the uk and will continue to do so. more unfufilled promises! they told us they would pay to advertise our timeshare with a company to try to sell it and we agreed but nothing was ever done! they now do not even answer our emails.
