Has anyone heard whether or not the beach repair work has started is or soon planned for Grand Luxxe Riviera Maya?

Grand Luxxe Beach

We just returned from Grand Luxxe in RM. No evidence of any beach restoration work underway. However, the weather was beautiful and we sat on the beach nearly each day. The kids found enough areas to wade into. Red flags were posted each day.

We were just down in Nuevo Vallarta at the Grand Luxxe. ONe of the managers there told me that the hold up is funding from the Mexican government for the repair. The resort can't do it on its own apparently without the cooperation of the local government.
