Anyone ever heared of them? We are in the preliminary stages of planning a trip to Mexico. We would like to do one week on the West Side in Puerto Vallarta, and the other in the Mayan Riviera on the East Side. I am using Yapta to guage prices on flights between the two, and they are 1/2 of what Aeromexico is charging. This of course makes me wonder! Would you recommend them?

I have noticed that instead of the normal 50lbs that most carriers allow, their checked baggage was 33lbs or something silly like that. Not bad if all you are transporting is some clothes, but I could definitely see the having to shift weights. I'm not sure how it work for me though, being from Canada whether or not they will take "international" credit cards.

I realize this thread is a few months old but wanted to share my thoughts on Volaris. Since moving to Mexico almost 4 years ago, Volaris has been our go-to airline for either travel within Mexico or back to the states. From central Mexico to the states (usually L.A. area) or Mexico City to Los Cabos, we couldn't be happier. We have another flight scheduled with them from MEX - MCO in August. They did just revamp some of their policies and have gone to a more "pick and pay" menu. Your first 25 kgs (55 lbs) is free. The one thing we do miss is the free drinks and snacks/food. They now charge for those options but it's not outrageous. Just be prepared to have pesos to pay for it as it is cash only. We love this airline.
