We have four weeks reserved at Villa Del Mar for this winter. I know the whole resort including Villa Del Palmar is closed for renovation until October. Does anyone know what is happening to the rooms at VDM (not VDP) for Jan./Feb 2015? One of the reservation people in San Diego said they are remodeling them right now, but that seems to contradict some other info about it being demolished in 2016. Does anyone have any updated information?

You could call the VDP in PV @ +52 866 843 7005 and ask your specific questions. I remember being told that the VDM buildings near the BLVD are now gone. I thought that the southern VDM building was being demolished now. This only leaves VDM inventory in the lobby building of the VDP, imo. I doubt that VDM members will have access to the VDP units closer to the beach or pool.

The entire construction dealio is addressed in the above link. I noticed that the renovations are for the Villa del Palmar. Nothing memtioned about the Villa del Mar.
