What foods can you take to Mexico?

I just went to Cabo last week, and I had a sealed bag of Snyders pretzels in a bag that I checked... and when I got to Cabo - it was no longer there! Rules might be more strict now with the travel environment....

Thanks for your post. I can't understand why they would take unopened pretzels???
Please tell me more about flying to Mexico with the new regulations.
Did you find that they were very limiting on the plane? Can you take a purse with no problems.

I had no problem with my carry-on bags - it was almost as if they were less strict with that based on the "pretzel incident" -- I brought mixed nuts in a baggie and a few bags of candy with no problem. You can bring a purse and a carry-on just no liquids/gels -- so think, hand sanitizer, eye drops, lip gloss - it all has to come out of your purse... laptops/phones/blackberry's were fine.

There is a possibility that the inspectors/handlers were just hungry.
