Cancun Marriott or LeMeriden hotel for extra nights?

We have narrowed our choice for a hotel for 2 extra nights to either JW Marriott or LeMeriden hotel.
Which would you recommend?

Barbara,

I don't think you can go wrong at either. I have only seen them from the road, they both are well located and look nice. If it's any help, the JW Marriott is newer and is rated a 6 on the Marriott scale compared the older Marriott Casa Magna (also nice) which is a 5.

eta: Tripadvisor rates them both very highly with JW coming in slightly higher (ranked #2 in popularity to Le Meridien's #10)
