  • Playa Grande (Cabo) on hold, anyone been?

I am holding this as a gift for someone, only two reviews OY, nothing current. Anyone been recently? There is some mention of construction, but hard to ascertain the scope. Pics look really nice.

    Any input would be appreciated..

We stayed there a couple of years ago, and it's one of our top experiences. The pools are beautiful; the beach is beautiful (but not swimable); the location is great.....nothing not to like.

WE are owners of 2 weeks and love it. Have gone once or twice a year for 3 years now. The construction is on the Ridge which is the newest part overlooking the Marina. It will not really bother anyone. We love it down below in the regular part of the resort. Like someone else said the swimming pools are wonderful and there are 2 hot tubs. (one pool and tub are adult only)

We were just there is November for 2 weeks and it is still great. Also easy to walk to town and the Marina.

We just got back from 2 weeks at Playa Grande. Construction on the Ridges is just about complete; interior and landscaping to go. But the BIG construction is next to Finisterra, where a new resort is going in. Can't recall the name, but it's using the tunnel thru Pedregal. Home sites on the hill side and roads are being developed, so drilling goes on 6 to 8 hours a day, M thru S. Friends said they weren't coming next year because this has to take a long time. Noise not too bad if you like to sit down near the water; surf drowns out most. And the shape of PG helps the interior stay a bit quieter. We visited at Finisterra and it's really loud there. Starts about 9, 1 to 2 hour break mid day, then ends maybe 4.
