El Cid Vacation Club?

No we have not used them for anything except the resorts. We really like the El Cid Resorts even though many on tug and Fairfield say they are not worth as much in trade as others.
We were at the Marina El Cid Riveria Maya in January for a week and will be leaving for Marina El Cid in Mazatlan on March 3 for 10 days. Can't wait. We have also stayed at the El Cid El Moro Towers and like it also but last year did the Marina and enjoy that even more. Besides we can take the shuttle to the towers anytime we want where there is more action on the beach.
We like to go deep sea fishing so being at the marina works great and we can walk over and see what they are bringing in.
This time the fellows will line up a Bass fishing trip for one day and go up to El Salto Lake. I have been researching it and my DH made a call yesterday. For a day trip one can wait till you get there and call and line it up. For longer at the moment the lodges etc. are filled up through March it sounded like.
My DH and I may go out in a panga boat anyway one day too and see what we can get. We got 3 nice King Mackeral our of the El Cid Marina in Puerto Morelas.

The El Cid Resorts in Mazatlan do have an optional All inclusive which is fairly reasonable. ( I think around $65 a day per person) You can do only 24 hours if you want to or any number of days. They do not push it or even mention it most of the time so if you are interested you will have to ask. Sometimes they have even had specials like pay for 3 days and get the 4th free.

Thanks.

If El Cid has its owb program, it will be very doubtful you can mix FF points with their point program even if both programs are the same.

If you really want to buy FF points for that reason, call the ECVC customer support or owner relation and get a confirm. However, most of them will try to sell you more points and will not really tell you what's going on. If you find out that is the case, hang up, try the other approach, call the VC ask them if a FF owner can transfer their current use year points to your account, if so, the answer is year, otherwise, it is no.
Try to login into their website and do more explore tha way, you may find the answer.
It will take a tremendous effort to push FF resell point up, so, just take your time, if you find you really need to do that, then you can purchase it.

I think you are probably right. I wasn't thinking about the separate El Cid Vacation Club. Sorry.

That's what I was beginning to think last night, Jya-Ning. I got involved in these forums and seeing how everybody is buying extra weeks and trading all over, etc., and got caught up in it all (somebody posted something somewhere saying it's like a gambling addiction--I think they're right!). I think I just need to use what I've got for a couple of years and learn the system in the meantime. I don't need to be adding anything more until I know how it all works.
Thanks for the great advice.

That say. Currently, they are converting the owner with FF points tied to El Cid. You may want to talk to Judy off-line to see what is the conversion charge, and what is the restriction etc.
Make sure you can use the points though, and you like the idea of RTU and thoughly think it over. TS is just one tool for vacation lodging. If you can enjoy all the points, you should try to get Gold + VIP at least, you should check if they discount resell point. If you have to buy retail point, it usually is not worth it. Since it maybe very sensitity issue to them, you may want to discuss off board.
Just to confuse you a little.
