  • Los Tules Fans??

We are looking for an October week in PV to fit in with and exchange we already have at Lindo Mar. I see that Los Tules has some 3 and 4 bedrooms available, as well as some one bedrooms. I don't know much about this resort, other than friends of friends have been there and like it.

    I have a few questions:
#1) Anyone have a property map?
#2) We like to be as close to the ocean as possible. Where are the 3 and 4 bedrooms located on the property? I imagine there are fewer of them, so would that be a good location?
#3) Are any units in a GREAT location?? If so, do you know the unit numbers?
#4) Is there a difference in RCI #5121 (Park Royal Los Tules) and RCI#7717 (Los Tules).

I would love to hear any info you have on this resort.
    Thanks!

    Ruth,

We were at Los Tules two years ago and really enjoyed it. If memory serves me right it seems there are 13 buildings (none of them over 3 stories) all of which have some 3 & 4 Br units in them. Some face the ocean and others do not, but at most you would only be a few hundred feet from the water. There are approximately 8-10 pools in the resort so just about every unit has a pool or ocean view. The grounds are quite lovely and because of the way it is spread out you never feel crowded. As far as getting a specific unit we did not get the one we were assigned on the RCI form and were told that is their normal practice. There are two different RCI #'s because there are two different management groups but as near as we could tell their respective units were scattered thru the resort so it shouldn't make a difference which one you pick.

Thanks for your post. I like the way Los Tules looks...spread out with grassy areas. Is the beach nice for swimming? We have stayed at the Sheraton and liked it very much. Lindo Mar is our current favorite, but we like to try other places, too. I think Los Tules is north of the Sheraton. Is that right? Thanks again.

        Ruth,

The beach is very long and uncrowded. There was a very slight dropoff and the sand was a little gritty right at the waters edge. It has a long gentle slope and we were out probably a 100 feet before it was over our heads. Not quite what you would have in the Caribbean but very nice for the Pacific side.

I agree about the way the resort is spread out with a lot of open grassy areas and that you never feel crowded. Even though it's a large resort it doesn't have that high-rise boxy feeling.

If I remember correctly it is north of the Sheraton about a half mile. At any rate it's directly across from the Gigante Super Market so that should help pin down it's location for you.

          Thanks Bill,
I know just where it is. When you drive down the street you see only the front of all of the hotels, but you don't know what is on the other side. I appreciate the info.
