  • Villa del Palmar Los Cabos

Do all of the rooms have views of the ocean?

    How is their pool?

How are the rooms? Large or small?

How long is the walk to Hard Rock Cafe?

Who to snorkel with? Power snorkeling?

    Thanks.
What I once considered boring, I now consider paradise.

We stayed at VDP many years ago. As I recall, the building is perpendicular to the ocean. Half of the rooms would have a view of the pool area and some the ocean. The other half would have a view of an empty lot (then-not sure about now) and some the ocean. People that have stayed more recently may have a better recollection than I do. Our room had a view of the empty lot - no ocean at all. It was a long walk to town. We rented a car. Rooms are large. Pool area is okay-not the nicest. We were not overwhelmed with VDP. Much preferred Pueblo Bonito on Medano Beach much closer to town. On our previous trip to Cabo we stayed at Blanco. Rose was just being built then. Either Pueblo Bonito is awesome.

This group has built a NEW very nice resort in Cabo - I wonder if it is on the empty lot?
My friend is an owner at Villa De Palmar Flamingos in Nueva Vallarta and has also visited this resort.

No, Villa del Arco is not on the empty lot that you speak of. VDE is located on the other side of Villa L'Estancia. To give you a better idea, Villa del Palmar (VDC) is the furthest north (away from town), then Villa L'Estancia, then VDE. Villa del Arco is a beautiful resort, everything is top-notch. It is much quieter than VDC.
As far as VDC, there are 3 buildings shaped in a "U". Units on the inside all have pool and varying degrees of ocean views. The north side of building one faces the empty lot and ocean and the new RIU resort is also in view - great sunrise viewing form these units. Units on the west side of building 2 face the mountains. Units on the south side of building 3 face Villa L'Estancia with some having a minimal ocean view - those are the units you don't want.
