We have never stayed here but we have visited several timeshare friends who have stayed here. I have seen a 1 and a 2 br unit but I can't remember how well equipped the kitchen was. They were happy with their accommodations because they went back there again another year. The grounds are very nice. Do you have to pay a mandatory A-I fee or not? I believe it depends how old the contract is that the owner deposited in RCI.
We own at a sister resort in Nuevo Vallarta but we have no kitchen at all because it is a mandatory A-I resort for everyone. We liked the idea so enjoy it every year because NV is not close to old PV where most restaurants are. There are some restaurants in walking distance from the Club Velas at the marina so you don't have to go very far.
PS. I missed your heading where it says that it is a mandatory A-I deal too. I have never been to their restaurants so don't know if it is good or not?

I think you'll find a wealth of info on their website-velasvallarta.com! Food and service are both very good. Just remember to make your dinner reservations first thing in the morning and if you do take the AI,there are two half day tours included as well. Enjoy your stay,it's a beautiful resort!

Everyday they would come and replenish your fridge w/soft drinks, milk, beer, bottled water, yogurt, juices etc. Also you will get cereal, fresh bread, nacho and potato chips, nuts and other snacks.Room service is included and there is a menu in the room.Best of all ice cream of different flavors and little pastries are available all day long right outside the steak house by the pool!I forgot to mention that there is complimentary pick up w/their small van when you arrive at the airport---just email them w/your flight# and date.Once you get to the resort's lobby, there is a special section(to the left up a few steps) for owners and RCI exchangers where you'll be greeted w/a cold towel and refreshments while you're checking in.I would suggest that you EMAIL them w/ your question of their AI plan and they would forward you a detailed list of what is included.During your weeklong stay, there would be a French night,an Italian night,a Mexican night,an Asian night, etc in the fine dining restaurant.Steakhouse have steaks and fish and seafood, all ala carte.I hope this helps a little bit....are you exchanging in the first time?

The bldg is done in a horseshoe design and most of the units look out onto the pools and ocean beyond.Maybe ask for a higher floor and you may get a more panoramic view! We don't stay in the unit that much so we never gave it much thought.Too busy eating, drinking and soaking in the pool.....................
