  • Help me decide where to stay last minute in Cabo this month

We have decided to attend a friend's wedding in Cabo in a couple of weeks. There are good choices available for RCI exchanges but I'm not familiar with the area so I don't know which one to pick.

    Here's our criteria:

    1. We do not want to rent a car.

    2. We would like to be within walking distance of town or at least a few stores where we can buy groceries.

    3. We don't swim at the beach but do like to have a nice beach on-site/nearby for lounging, reading, relaxing.

    4. We would LOVE to have an ocean view balcony.

    5. Probably won't do much in the way of sightseeing so we want a nice resort to just hang out for a few days before the wedding activities begin.

    6. Would like to be reasonably close to where the other wedding guests are staying (walking distance or an inexpensive cab ride away). The majority of the people will be at the Fiesta Americana (which is also where the reception will be held).

    7. The wedding itself is in San Jose del Cabo with the rehearsal dinner at the Casa Del Mar Resort. We can probably share a taxi with other guests who are staying at the Fiesta Americana for these events.

Here are the TS choices. ALL are STUDIO size units. They are all gold crown and seem to have good reviews both in TUGS and Trip Advisor.

    1. Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach

    2. Pueblo Bonito Rose

    3. Pueblo Bonito Resort Los Cabos

    4. Hacienda Del Mar

    5. Marina Fiesta

So which one should I pick???

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Pueblo Bonito Rose and Blanco are right in town, and very close to the Fiesta. Both are on the only swimable beach. The Sunset is on the Pacific side, but they do have a shuttle that runs to the Rose and Blanco, which are right together; they are so close they look as though they are the same resort. All three Pueblo Bonito properties are great favorites. The Sunset is the newest and is quite luxurious, but you'd be using the shuttle to get to the town area.

Hacienda is out in the corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. They, too, have a shuttle, but it's not all that convenient because you have to go considerably farther than you would on the Sunset shuttle.

The Marina Fiesta is--I think--the same property as the Fiesta Hotel. I'm sure someone else will be along to say whether it is or not.

If you want the nicest property, try Sunset Beach. Views from the balconies are great since you are up on the hill side. If you want the closest to town and a good beach, try the Rose or Blanco. Our choice was Sunset Beach and we used both an Avis rental car and the shuttle to get to town and San Jose Del Cabo. There is an Avis Desk at Sunset Beach so we turned in the car there when we not longer had a need for it.

      Cheers
