  • Help Me Pick Cabo Resort for Son's Honeymoon in July

We have never visited this area, so need help in selecting honeymoon resort for son and his bride. Their wedding is in mid-July 2008. I have deposits in RCI and TPI, and probably will want a Monday check-in, and probably would like a non-all-inclusive resort. I can see various resorts with my deposit in RCI, have read reviews, but want opinions from friends who "have been there"! Help?

They might like to be closer to Cabo San Lucas, rather than San Jose del Cabo. If so, my choice would Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. The beach there isn't swimable, but it's a beautiful, beautiful resort, and they have shuttles to their other resorts that are right in town and on the only swimmable beach: Pueblo Bonito Rose and Pueblo Bonito Blanco.

I'd ask them how important being on a swimmable beach is and if they want to be close to the clubs/restaurants, etc. If that's what they want, I'd go for Rose or Blanco. Sunset is a short shuttle ride away and they could use the beach that way, but in town, of course, they could walk to restaurants, etc.

We like Playa Grande, too. It's a short walk to the marina area and town. It's on a beautiful--but non-swimable--beach.

I agree with P Street The Pueblo bonitos Playa Grande and even Solmar (Where I own but more traditional Mexico with a beautiful non swimming beach and no vendors). I would tend to be more near Downtown Cabo than the corridor or San Jose but that is just my opinion . If they have never done it I would recommend Swim with the Dolphins

Our Restaurant Favorites Recommendations These should all be great for honeymooners
        Villa Serena
        Misiones de Kino

SherryS... I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Pueblo Bonitos. I've stayed at PB Mazatlan and PB Emerald Bay ( Mazatlan). They know what they are doing! Be sure they have a meal at Pancho's

We chose a 1BR PB Sunset Beach! RCI had a Monday check-in that fit with NW FF seats AND wedding plans. Thanks for all suggestions!
