I wouldn't rush into it!
You don't provide much information of what type of unit. I think you could do better on eBay, so do your homework further. The beach is not swimable, dangerous. Personally fixed weeks don't do much for me unless it's something that would help your exchanging. Check weather.com to see what that season of the year is usually like. Would the week float for flexibility? I haven't been there(Cabo) yet, but I've read up on the area out of curiosity for future travels. It's got a + for being away from the town, but would it be safe to walk after daylight hours? I don't fish, nor drink much more than 1 per day, but I am drawn to trying it there in a couple of years. I've heard that the timeshare people don't bug the sunbathers much near the Solimar. I wish you well. Gary

My husband went on a fishing trip last year and the group(all guys) decided to stay there. They paid close to 200 inc.all taxes for a junior suite per day.He said it's cleaner, newer and had a nicer decor than LAs Glorias that they stayed in previous years!Location may not be as central and he seems to think that it's a place more suited for couples. There are good restaurants nearby within walking distance as well.Have you checked what the maintenance fees are for the other resorts in Cabo?

DW and I have stayed there before and are going again this Saturday. It is smaller than a lot of resorts but we really like the location and amenities. 3 pools, 2 with swim up bars. Good restaurant. The Playa Grande next door(much larger) and the Finisterra nearby are owned by the same people and you have sharing and charging privileges at both. It is located away from the busier areas and therefore quieter and no bothersome peddlers. Excellent daily maid service. I can see where people who like night life and a livelier crowd might prefer other places. I have considered buying there. Your price might be a little high but it is in the ballpark. If I can check anything out for you let me know right away. BTW, May is a great month there. Not too hot and the rainy season hasn't started yet.

We have owned there over 10 years. It is a smaller resort clean and well managed. The beach is not swimmable but is beautiful. The pools are heated when it is cool. The restaurants are ok we eat offsite at dinner most of the time. We do eat lunch and snacks around the pool (They even have a sushi bar). The staff is nice. They do have a couple of offsite restaurants that are affiliated that are very good. (Romeo and Julieta, and the Galeon) We have not eaten at La Fonda which is also connected to the resort. Solmar also has a fleet of boats and Playa Grande is the same ownership. Solmar is not as flashy as the Pueblo Bonito Resorts or Playa Grande.
Jacqucarr must be a lot pickier than we are. Your description has not been our experience.
