Paricutin

I will be traveling to Puerto Vallarta for business in August. I would like to make a stop to see the Paricutin volcano. However, I'm finding it difficult to find any information on how to go about doing so on the internet. Have any of you traveled to that area and can give me some good advice? This will be my first trip to Mexico.

The volcano is located in the state of Michoacan...a bit too far east from Vallarta, I would think.

I think you will have enough to do in PV, and this is quite a distance from PV, in another state, and frankly states in Mexico are big....
