Xel-Ha or Xcaret????

I am taking the family to the Grand Mayan Riviera Maya for Easter week. This is our first trip to the area. We all love to snorkel (kids ages 8, 11 and 13). Which is better: Xel-Ha or Xcaret? What about the all inclusive option? Is it worth it? We will have our own snorkel gear. Does the all inclusive option include all meals throughout the day – breakfast, lunch and dinner?

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Oh, what about zip lining and horseback riding. Any recommendations. Thanks. Tim

Xcaret is much closer and your kids should like it. There is a lot of extra pay for activities that you might want to do, Just get there early because the dolphin swim and the Sea walk fill up first.

Can't really compare the two for you, we only went to Xel-Ha, but at least at Xel-Ha they now only have the all inclusive option. It was worth it. But as Frank says there are still extra pay stuff if you want to do them.
One other thing, I would get an early start whichever one you do. There is lots to do and with meals etc, time goes by fast.
