Need trip advice please

Hello!
We are going to Cancun July 5-12 for my in-laws 50th Wedding anniversary. The group going range in age from 3 to 82. We are all staying at the Royal Mayan. I am sooooo excited.
Anyway.... I know we will all go our separate ways for some activities but as the trip planner I am trying to come up with at least 2 activities we can do as a group. Would Xcaret be a possibility? Could my in-laws who are in pretty good health, but not real active, enjoy xcaret? Would there be enough places to rest, relax and people watch? How about the transportation to and from? My dh and I have been to Cancun two times, love it so I am a familiar with Cancun a little bit.
I am considering Mercado 28 as well but am wondering if the 3 year old could hack it.... or should I say his parents.

Any other idea of what we could do as a group?
We are getting our family picture taken... that will definitely be interesting.

I would think that Xcaret would be a great family experience for all ages. I traveled with a large part of my immediate and extended family and we loved it. There is a lot to see and do there, and yes, plenty of places to relax along the way. My mom was in a wheel chair at the time and even she had fun there. They have a nice dinner theatre show for an additional cost. We opted to try that and were glad. I had purchased some kind of discount card prior to going to Cancun. We used it book most of our excursions and saved quite a bit of money. I am thinking that we used the card for Xcaret as well. Transportation was provided, so you don't need to worry about that. I wish that I had kept the hyper link to the discount card site, but unfortunately I didn't. If you google discount card Cancun, I bet you'll find it. Have a wonderful time celebrating with your family.

tonyg would have the discount card site and u do save money - the persons name is Brant Boston who runs it - he will also be able to arrange transpo from the airport for your group at a cost lower then the Royals transportation.
