  • Accommodations Tax in Puerto Vallarta & MZT

I just noticed a EBay ad mentioning the accommodations tax is $17. They are advertising six nights requiring a TS presentation.

I don't remember the local accommodation tax being significant when I was in PV in 2006. Did it go up?

In Mazatlan, I think I saw a quote "All members staying at a Resort in the state of Sinaloa, will have to pay an additional 2% state/lodging tax." I am not sure what the 2% is based on.

    THANKS for any information.

All my RCI exchanges list an accomodations tax in Mexico around 2-3%! Yet I have only paid it once at Mayan Resorts, no other resort has charged it...

Not sure what the ebay thing is all about....
