After browsing the forum, I found this resort and saw the awesome pictures. I am thinking that I would like to go next year sometime between late august and early october. Is it best to put a request with II now, or just wait. After looking at the II opportunities, it looks like there are a lot of late deposits for this resort (most of those seem to be the one bedroom unit though). And it shows nothing for next year. Any thoughts by someone that has been able to exchange into a 2 bedroom?

If you "just wait" then anyone who didn't just wait will get it before you. Why just wait, if using DRI points, the only thing you lose is the advance payment of the exchange fee, your points don't get used until an exchange is made. You can cancel anytime before a match is made. I had an exchange last Memorial Day into a 2BR and my ongoing search for next year is already in. There are not 'a lot' of late deposits and when there are late deposits they are picked up fast.

Ok,
I am about to put the request in, and when I got to the availability page, it is showing my request from todays date all the way to 2010. Am I doing something wrong. I have limited vacation time next year, and can only travel between Aug and Oct.

I am about to put the request in, and when I got to the availability page, it is showing my request from todays date all the way to 2010. Am I doing something wrong. I have limited vacation time next year, and can only travel between Aug and Oct.

The system will show you the span of dates in which you are allowed to search, but you should be able to specify the dates for which you wish to travel. If you continue to have trouble, call II and have a rep put the search in for you.

It was my first request, and when I got to the next page, it showed the dates that I put in.
