Where would you prefer to rent in Puerto Vallarta !!!!

Hi to all Puerto Vallarta TS4MS'S,
jimbosee from Melbourne Australia here again.Had our first trip to Mexico this year(February),thank you all for your help,enjoyed it so much we are going back next year.We have a week at Mayan Palace Riviera Maya,(24th April---1st May),then we are renting a 2 bedroom/2bathroom Condo in Puerto Vallarta for 12 nights.My question,which is best Marina area,or condo 1 block from Malecon,and 2 blocks from beach.I do not have a clear memory of the town,but I remember the cruise port,the run into town,and I guess the Malecon is the long footpath along and above the beach.Looking forward to your thoughts.Thanks Jim Seedsman

PV rental

I would rent right on Los Muertos in the Romantic Zone. The Romantic Zone or Old Town is the downtown area just south of Rio Cuale (where the flea market is). Neat area - tons of good restaurants, fun beach palapas for lunch/drinks, grocerias, etc. We are renting in October at Vista del Sol. The unit we have faces the ocean. It is #46367 on VRBO. Here is another that is beachfront at Vista del Sol.
Puerto Vallarta
Both of these condos are ocean front and pretty high up (5th and 6th floors I believe)

I think this is a great location. We are trading 2 weeks and renting this one, so we will be there 3 weeks. Can't wait.

I personally like the Marina Area or the South side. ( South side would be up and above Old town on the mountain).

Tha Malecon is the boardwalk, where one side is on ocean and they build sandcastles on the beach, and there are lots of vendors and opposite that is a lot of restaurants and stores.

Old Town would be past that and over the bridge.....nice part of town, not glitzy, but some good restaurants and also some great shopping.

Could be noisy near the Malecon, but if you wish to be in the crust if things that is it.

To give a better idea...where did you stay in PV on your last trip???

bezerk,this year in February we were in Nuevo Vallarta,so we thought we would come nearer into Puerto Vallarta,and on consideration have taken a unit in the Marina Area,we can always hop a bus and go downtown and have a look. Thank you again for your help,I love forum's.Regards Jim Seedsman

Good call. Just got back from a stay at the Club Regina near the marina and had a great time. Really enjoyed the place and the marina area, and busses to the Malecon and downtown were frequent and easy to catch.
