Womens' Basketball at the Moon Palace

Just south of Cancun they are playing the Caribbean Classic with 4 or more NCAA womens' basketball teams, including the #1 ranked UCONN Huskies. This afternoon UCONN plays the Washington Huskies at 4:30 PM EST- I guarantee that the Huskies will win. Games are scheduled through Sunday the 21st.

Apparently the grand ballroom was modified into a basketball court for these games. There is only seating for 400 spectators. UCONN won today 109-51 and they play again Friday and Sunday.

Got to watch tonight's game on TV. Seating for fans was high back dining chairs and I noticed in the corner of the room off the court a buffet table and a bar. During a time out they showed some fans, most with UCONN t shirts, including one woman drinking a glass of red wine. I think I could go to one of those games.
