Calling US from Mexico....what is the best way?

If you are bringing a laptop...skype works great in Mexico....

I have to second the skype recommendation. When calling home or cell phones I am being charged 2.1 cents per minute from Cancun. I got to video chat with my kids for 10 minutes for free. I have yet to spend a full dollar, I think you would really have to use magic jack a lot to make it pay off vs skype.

I do not have a camera on my computer - is skype only for video equiped computers or can u use it for audio only conversations?

You can use skype just for audio......no problem......just a cheap headset and sign up and you are all set, just go to their site and check it out...
