  • Private Chichen Itza w/Lunch & Cenote Ik Kil & Ek Balam ruins

Has anyone done the Private Chichen Itza w/Lunch & Cenote Ik Kil & Ek Balam ruins with Entertainment Plus? Is it to much to do with two senior citizens and two young children? The rest in the group are older children or midage or younger adults. We will be their Memorial Day week this year.

I have. It IS a very long day. The drive out to Chichen Itza is about 2 and half hours from Cancun. The cenote is accessed by stairs-so if anyone has mobility problems-take this in to consideration. We skipped Ek Balam-did a little site seeing in Vailodid (spelling?) went to a local market, etc. The beauty with private is you can do as much or as little as you want. They will stop anywhere you would like-get snacks or drinks, etc.

Highly recommend paying for private guide at Chichen Itza-60.00-but keeps your group private and away from the tour bus masses. More personal-I thought it was worth it.

How old are the little ones? After swimming in the Cenote-they may just konk out on the ride back. Keep the next day a "down" day to recoup. It's worth it. One of our best memories. Very glad we did it.

Your call - but it will be rather hot at the end of May.
