Universities warn students to avoid Mexico for spring break...

I am here in Mexico...I just returned from Nuevo Vallarta and Puerto Vallarta, felt the same as usual with a bit more military and police presence which is good. The areas of concern are near the borders. If you are an astute, aware traveler and use common sense you will be fine.

I must say the spring breakers were in PV when I was there and well they were not aware, astute travelers. They were very loud, drunk from morning till night, swaggering, swearing, even at a family resort, were banned from a night club due to fighting and such.....one young man woke up in afternoon in a pickup truck bed....said last he remembered was doing shots at club...not very wise.....
