I'll bet they didn't get the reservations they figured they would from the cash paying Mexican Nationals. That is why they saved those weeks from the timeshare owners. The last time we were there was Easter week a couple of years ago the majority of the guests were from Mexico.

We were at the MP in Nuevo for Easter two years, then at the MP Marina Vallarta this last Presidents week. I liked having more Mexican nationals at the resort; this last trip almost the entire guest population of the resort was US or Canadian nationals (including one guy who had checked in mid-November and still had several weeks to go).

Way too crowded for me over Easter, a two week long holiday here. Anyone who can goes to the beach, whatever beach, in hotel, car, tent, what have you. Hahah....now we go to the city over these two weeks and well let's just say it sure is a whole lot emptier.
