I have heard from a very reputable informant that building in Mexico as far as Timeshares goes is at a Halt until the new Election is over. Turns out if a certain politian who is against Businesses development gets in it will hurt all buildings being built.
People have been wondering why the new Mayan Palace in Cabo keeps pushing the opening date back. It is now pushed back to Summer of 07 after the election. Now you know why.

Legalize all drugs.. stop businesses and building

Maybe they are trying to drive all thier citizens to the US

Dave, This is all because of the new Government. If this keeps up, Families will no longer be going to Mexico and as far as spring breakers go. The kids may want to go but you as a parent, Are you going to let you child go to this drug zone? Is hedonisium is next?

Maybe they are related. Maybe timeshares aren't being built because all the workers are going into the drug business or using them instead.

Bet the timeshare companies are still selling. My guess is Cabo is still great guns, Cancun is still recovering from the hurricane.

So far today it looks like the conservative candidate is ahead. If so building should pick up?
