We got fooled into exchanging our home studio unit for a "studio" unit at the Grand Mayan in Nuevo Vallarta. Upon check-in we were shocked to find out we had been given a hotel room. When we complained, they told us that's what they call a studio...but every Mayan property was different.
However, when questioning the exchange company they said they run into that problem at Mayan frequently because theMayan calls all their hotel units "studios" and that some are, and others are simply what most people would call hotel rooms.
So--finally-- here is my question--Does anyone know if the Mayan Palace in the Marina in Puerto Vallarta has actual studios (with coffee maker, microwave, fridge, etc.) or if their "studio" is also a hotel room as it is in Nuevo Vallarta? Their website does not differentiate.
