Purified water at Grand Mayan?

My son and DIL want to go to the Grand Mayan in either Riviera Maya or Cabo this winter. My DIL has a sensitive stomach and is worried about the water. Do the resorts have purified water? What about town. I know you have to be careful in Cabo but does Playa del Carmen have purified water like Cancun. They ahve only been to PV and the water there has not been an issue.

Just came back from Rivera Maya in Feb, No worries there all the water theere was purified

All of the Mayan Palace & Grand Mayan resorts have purified water in the units and restaurants, but that is not true for many restaurants in town. Drink bottled water when in town.

Yes the water is purified but when we were at the Grand Mayan in Nuevo(A couple of years ago during spring break) they had a problem and the water was coming out of the tap very discolored. The pipes must have been affected. IF I was real sensitive I would drink bottled water only anyway. WE always take some pepto bismol tablets with us as a doctor told me the Bismuth may kill a parasite if you get one.
