Help with nice beach near Grand Mayan on the Mayan Riviera

Could anyone help with a nice beach close to the Grand Mayan on the Mayan Riviera that is suitable for a family? We will be renting a car.

In Playa del carmen is a place called Playa mamitas there is a nice beach!
When will you go? I will be there this December :-)

We're going in early Jan. Will it be crowded then? We usually go in Oct.

Mamitas sounds more like a club scene. We're looking for something laid back and casual, with out hastle and scams.

If you snorkel take the ferry out of Playa Del Carmin and go to Cozemel for the day.

Yes mamitas sound like that, but its a nice beach , also on isla mujeres the beach is great, you take a tour they are cheap and nice beach there if you go tulum also nice beach
