  • Grand Mayan Riviera?

Is this forum the appropriate place to ask questions about the GM? We already are booked for a week Jan 20-27 (in-laws are owners), so we don't have exchange questions, only general questions...

    thanks

You were close, We have a forum dedicated to Mayan Palace and the Royals. I have moved it to that area.

    Ask away.

      Best way to commute...

It seems like the GM is sort of isolated. We would like to make trips in PDC for some nightlife. Do you recommend buses, taxi's, or something else? I am not comfortable renting a car...I want to partake in some local te-kill-yas!!!

All of the Mayan Palaces/Grand Mayan are huge property's. Almost every one is built just outside of the main areas. If you go to lets say Rivera Maya then you are pretty much stranded at the resort, Which is not a bad thing if you don't mind spending. The only exception I would say is that they do have a resort in PV which is at the end of PV. I would still rather stay in the newer resort in NV.

Getting back to your question, I would recommend taking a cab where when you need to venture out. We rented a car in Rivera Maya/Cancun for 2 weeks and it was costly especially with the gas.

What I try to do is work out a deal with one cabbie. He will give you better prices if you use him on the side all week.

OK, makes sense. Any GM regulars out there that could possibly recommend one?
