You forgot to mention which city you are going to? Lots of Mayans.

Take a taxi to Bucerias - about $5 and spend an afternoon at one of the resturants along the beach. It is fun to sit in the shade and watch the ocean while eating and drinking. Some even have hammocks. The cheese-stuffed, bacon-wrapped grilled shrimp is AWESOME! They all prepare it on request.

Be sure to take the bus into PV and eat dinner at Pipi's. My "kids" like the No Name Cafe & Bar down on the square at the Malecon. The bus is safe and just watch for the ones that say Nuevo when in PV and PV when in Nuevo. You will get the hang of it quickly.

PV in general is one of our favorite vacation locations. We go about every other year.

You will have a great time.

Are you going to Rivera Maya? If so check out the town before it. I forget the name but it is an old fishing village. There you will get local prices on meals.

                The spa area in Brio

in the Blue building is great, Joyce really enjoyed the steam and sauna, along with the spa tub.

Also the internet cafe is there, their rates are 70 pesos per hour.

We stayed in the Yellow Building last year, in a 1 bedroom, with a garden/mountain view, see attached photo.

We enjoyed walking up to the Sea Garden for the morning breakfast buffet, and from 8-9 am it is 2 for the price of one.

As long as you are out that way, stop by the GM and see if Alejandro is at the bell stand.

His mother makes the best tamales.

You will need to order them on Your check in day, and he should have them on Monday or Tuesday. ( The green salsa is very warm).

The dessert tamales where my wife Joyce's favorite.

She ordered another 2 dozen the second week.

The Monday beach party was great. ( see photo)

So much to see and do that you may never get out of the resort, but please do try to get into PV and out to some of the outlying towns.

When planing a night for diner, Be sure to take a cab to the area above PV and lookig down on the port. You will have a view at Dinner that you will never forget.

After you tell them no at the TS presentation, also say NO to the "management" rep they take you to for the survey. I fell into paying $3700 for a Great Vacations Club membership.
Do a Google on Great Vacations Scam. Like it states, hard to find any availability, and those that you find are in the UP portion of the $399 & up ($900-1400).
