MP upgrades to GM

Have just purchased a 2BR Mayan Palace resale. I was wondering if owners are ever upgraded to Grand Mayan upon check-in. When we have traded to Mayan Palace through RCI, we were always upgraded.....

I hope Pat H sees this..she has knowledge about the MP system as does Emmy I believe.

We met some owners when we were in NV in 2006 and apparently there is a window where you can change your reservation into the GM....sorry I can't help more but congrats on your purchase!

We were upgraded once, but it was because of an RCI exchange, not because we were MP owners.

In Acapulco a couple of years ago, when we were there for 3 weeks, we asked to be upgraded the week our friends were there, but it did not happen. They did give us a really nice end unit 2-bedroom on the top floor of the 2-bedroom building. It was February when they are the busiest, so I was not surprised.

I was upgraded on an exchange. if you pick a non holiday or busy week and the room is there they may give it to you. If you take care of the person checking you in that will greaten your chances.
