I was there in February and the answer was no at that time.
You can get a conection thru the phone in the room but if you are going at a popular time, you have to reserve your 'spot' ahead of time. I couldn't get a spot in February but then again, I also didn't have a unit at the resort I was confirmed into
It was around $30 for the week.

Tonyg is familiar with another local servuce that costs even less, check with him.

Todito card. But, I believe there are wireless spots now at some if not all of the Cancun Royals.

If you check on TUG, there was a response to this.
At the Caribbeean there is service in the lobby and the bar. Some people can get it in their units as well, but it is not guaranteed.
VCI has it in the lobby area and at the Palapa.
