GM Acapulco June 7; NV November 8

Hi,

I have booked a week at the Grand Mayan Acapulco for June 7, and the Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta for November 8. Are these busy or slow times of the year to visit these areas? I am hoping I don't have any problems getting the room I want since it was booked with SFX (read some stories on the forum about switching resorts...)

Has anyone ever been to both? Are they about the same in terms of amenities, grounds, nice rooms, etc.? Would you recommend any specifc requests that I should make on my room location?

How are the restaurants at the resort and in the area? What are some things we should see/do??

I have been to both, Keep in mind that if you exchanged with RCI that there is a 1 and 5 rule in effect. Your Nov 8 will get canceled.

Oops missed that part,

Both resorts are great but I liked NV resort better. There is a lot to do in Acapulco and both have great pools. Food was better as was the service in NV.

I really liked NV - and will be returning next Januaray thru a SFX exchange.

My only thought is it will be hot in Acapulco in June so you will have to spend a LOT of time in the wonderful pools and beautiful ocean.....ahhhhhhh.

20-25 minute drive into town at ACA on windy mountain roads .... take a cab.
