We had a crib and the four yr old slept with us, so we never even used the liv rm sofas.
For us, the kitchen was very adequate.

Of course the resort only allows 7-8 in the unit.

The kitchens are intended for show, not cooking
There is a cooktop with 4 burners, a small refrigerator with freezer and a microwave. High end appliances and granite.
As for the kitchen, I tend to cook most of my meals, even on vacation, but it sounds like the kitchen is functional other than lacking an oven -- is that right? Believe it or not, I often bake when I'm at a timeshare, but I can survive without an oven for a week.
I might actually bring a suitcase of groceries with me, depending on what sort of food stores are in the area. But, I'm not going until 2010, so I have lots of time to plan!
