Anyone ever heard of Profile A in regards to owners at Mayan Resorts????

YES, we are Profile A

at the Grand Mayan.
It gives us some extra perks, we can book at 12 months, specify which buildings, view, etc.

Dumb Question , Do you actually get what you are asking for? The reason I ask is one time when I was checking in at the GM in NV. An owner was being put into the Sea Gardens cause the over booked.

So far,

They have been great, we even use this when we exchange to get best available ocean view suites, GM owner bands, etc.

I have heard of these problems, but we have never had any, and hope that we never will.

Of course, I start emailing the concierge with our requests and orders for transportation about 6 months in advance, and continue every month or so until we arrive.

Thanks for the responses, does this only apply to Grand Mayan and not to Mayan Palace regency?

Sounded to me like an extra perk that may or not be feasible but as allaikai2 said it is working for him, so that is good to hear.

bigfrank....I too have heard stories of owners having issues due to overbooking!

We met owners at GM/NV that had been given the worst possible view .
(Overlooking the convenience store, where the laundry trucks deliver).
They were pretty disappointed, but very non-vocal.

Oh happymum that does not sound good....I am pretty vocal and pretty specific on my request though...and it does help I guess to be able to speak spanish though not perfectly at the resorts in Mexico, and they love to hear I live here. I usually get good units everywhere for the most part if I speak up...

So maybe that Profile A is not anything but a selling perk, not actually enforced...hmm something to ponder..
