Cuban Cigars

We are going to be at the Royal Mayan over Memorial Day and I would like to smoke some Cuban Cigars while in Mexico. Where is a good place to buy them there? Of course, I would smoke them all there and not bring any back to the USA.

IMHO they are not worth the money, but if you gotta do it you can find them in the Royal's resort store or in specialty and other stores throughout Cancun. Customs will generally not bother with a few cigars- they are looking for boxes rather than just a few. One that I did like that was not too expensive is La Flor De Cano (in predilecto size-tubed). I bought mine at the Royal's store on sale, but they may not still carry them.

There are also a few shops in Playa del Carmen that see them. Unfortunately there are also a few shops that sell some they say are Cubans but are not. I don't know enough to tell you how to know the difference.

Honestly I bought a lot right from the resorts store and they were all good. Look for the Uppmans in the tube and price wise it was a bargain.
