Fractional ownership is now taking root in Kenya.
A series of developments is curently underway
with the first in Malindi town, and later on in Diani, Watamu
and Naivasha. The Malindi project is about 70% complete
and it will be interesting to see how it goes.
Being a relatively new concept in the country it may
be off to a slow start and may
take a while to get the local market excited
as investors digest the pros and cons of
fractional ownership. Though the early bird
will almost certainly catch the worm.
The Kenya Shilling has also lost quite some
ground against the dollar and this may affect the
sales.
