Geting funds out of SA

Has anyone that have sold their SA week had trouble geting money out of SA? If so, how did it work out for
you and what did you have to provide.

It was going to be quite a problem to get money out, but I owned another timeshare in SA so I arranged to have the proceeds of the sale sent to the other timeshare for maintenance fees (levies). I still have several years of levies paid up at that resort, so this worked for me.

Can't they just send you a cashier's check?
Seems that Africa loves Cashiers checks, just post a craigslist ad and see.

And it seems they like to issue them in very large amounts!

A few years back when I sold all our SA units, a few of them I had the proper papers showing I had paid in US $$ and those they sent me checks for, some I didn't and the resale company ended up crediting one of my credit cards, wasn't the best solution, but a least I got most of my money.
