Did anyone else receive mail from Mt. Amanzi today? It was the usual accounting, but included news that RCI has upgraded the resort to Silver Crown...good news! I haven't checked the RCI site yet...
Connie
Did you check the year that it was sent ?
If I recall correctly the place was a wreck shortly after the turn of the century and a special assessment did little to correct things. There used to be a Texan and his southern shill on the BOD there- did they finally get rid of that dynamic duo ?
On the back pasge of the Notice of General meeting booklet is a reproduction of a letter sent from Group RCI to Mount Amanzi dated 26th March 2008 that says:
"This letter serves to confirm that Group RCI recognizes Mount Amanzi as a 'Silver Crown' resort in terms of the RCI Resort Recognition Program." It goes on to congratulate all those involved in the process. Sounds real...

I haven't seen the dynamic duo around for some time now.

These are the folks listed as directors: WJ Coetzee, JG Swanepoel, J Crouch (from the US), JLC Engelbrecht, DF Schutte, J Oeschger, and C Pawlik (also from the US).
Do any of these names strike a chord?

I believe Cliff Pawlik and Jeff Crouch are still with ICW in Texas. Scott Riddle used to be with ICW but I think he is on his own now with a company called Trading Time.
Not sure who the "dynamic duo" are though.

Congrats to the Mt Amanzi owners. I was torn between Mt Amanzi and Lowveld Lodge when i bought. I guess i made the wrong decision, but maybe, just maybe Lowveld might get the bump too.
