Just got my Levy invoice in the mail:

    Levy 2002 Rand 1,336.05

    Levy 2003 Rand 1,462.97

    Levy 2004 Rand 1,697.05

    Levy 2005 Rand 1,852.33

    Levy 2006 Rand 2,071.83

    Levy 2007 Rand 2,598.00

Levy 2008 Rand 2,598.00 - pretty sure they charged me the same for 2007 & 2008 but still awaiting the invoice.

It is getting expensive- not like the 1/2 of that price when I first got into SA.

It sure is. We will be double soon at this rate. I added all the other years since we purchased The Seapointer as a group on TUG.

        Tripled

Levy 2006 Rand 2,071.83 = USD $335.24 as of today.

        http://www.xe.com/ucc/

We started at $110 annual when the Rand was weaker. So we got a triple here....pretty sad.

I read on TUG that the Seapointer's trade power has increased since Black Sunday. Do you find that to be true? I sold my 2BR Seapointer about 14 months ago, thru Cape Escape, because of the increasing levy & poor exchange rate.

That's almost 12% annually compounded. Pretty sad.

I have had good trades so far with all my Seapointer Deposits......so I am not really sure what the affect was from Black Sunday.

Seapointer is in the Capetown area, the hottest area for SA tourism, so I would expect the RCI changes would be ''Golden Sunday'' for this resort.

I have always handled my by email and credit card. I sent my last one to Lydia Hofert lydiah@firstresorts.co.za she was very nice and efficient. And it didn't cost anything to email.

                          Help please

Does anyone have a good fax number for the Seapointer to get a deposit made with one of the independent exchange companies? They need to verify the week and maint fees.

I look at all my paperwork and have not had a new invoice for some time from them and was wondering if anyone has the latest information. Has anyone gotten an invoice for 2007 or 2008?

I will try the numbers you posted above tony....any update beyond those?

Hey I just heard from The Seapointer....

                              From: Ina Taljaard, inat@firstresorts.co.za

The estimate amount for your 2007 levy is R2598.00. Yes you can pay by Credit card by emailing it to me.

We do advise That the Seapointer has been temporarily suspended by RCI, who have advised that certain issues need to be attended to, before the suspension is uplifted.
The Board of Directors of the Seapointer will be meeting shortly to consider these issues, and to devise a programme to eliminate them.

The Annual Report in respect of the years ended 2005 & 2006 for the Seapointer are in the course of preparation and will be forwarded to all Shareholders shortly.

Assuring you of our best attention at all times.

                              Regards

                              Ina
