The red flag here is the management company - First Resorts, which in an arm of the infamous Club Leisure Group of ''Bullfrog'' Stuart Lamont. Indeed Lamont and one of his henchmen ARE the board of directors of the Seapointer's association. Not a good sign at all considering their history.
Check out Lamont, Club Leisure Group and its various tentacles like CRI, Flexi-club, Star Club, etc. at CRIMESHARE - South Africa Scroll back through that site, and look for the posts on those subjects (there are others on other shady operations as well), and particularly look for the Johannesburg Star newspaper article that is posted in its entirety.

Current phone and fax for Seapointer
This is in response to my request to pay my levies and to deposit my week at Trading Places International (TPI). I do not know why they do not understand that I do not want to deposit in RCI but in TPI. I have made it very clear and they keep going back the RCI issue. It makes me suspicious.

Good day Mr
At this stage your week at the Seapointer cannot be spacebanked. The resort as been temporarily suspended by RCI, who have advised that certain issues need to be attended to, before suspension is uplifted.
The Board of Directors of the Seapointer will be meeting shortly to consider these issues , and to devise a programme to eliminate them.
Our telephone no is 031-7177404 Fax no 031-7091680
Assuring you of our best attention at all times

The saga continues.....
Ok now I have been contacted by more First Resorts representatives:
I made my payment to Ina.
My payment was confirmed by:

Notice that they keep referring to RCI yet they cannot deposit into RCI.
Finally TPI contacted me saying that First Resorts wanted me to confirm (again and for the 5th time) that it is ok to deposit into TPI since 'the Seapointer is only affiliated with RCI'. TPI has been great and very patient during this whole process (as well as frustrated). But they seem glad to be working on it as we are breaking new ground here with TPI who has other SA deposits but none from Seapointer that I know of.
So I sent confirmation to June at First Resorts who had asked for confirmation from me via TPI. Her contact follows. Hopefully this will put it to rest. I will let you know when all is finally done.

Apparently OY says RCI is back in business taking seapointer deposits. TPI (and me) are still getting the run around from First Resorts but are almost there with my deposit into TPI. Breaking new ground so you wont have to."If a Nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.... I finally got my Seapointer 2BR deposited into Trading Places International. It was a frustrating effort but finally paid off. The trail has been blazed so it should be easier for anyone else who wants to deposit into TPI. Thanks to Nathan, Marcie, and Sonnie at TPI...they had to work hard for this one.
June Duncan, juned@firstresorts.co.za is the one who was the final contact who confirmed the week for deposit in a long line of representatives at First Resorts."If a Nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.... From what I have heard RCI is not taking Seapointer deposits again. Can anyone confirm?"If a Nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.... In my recent (this week)levy statement, that's what it says- but that could be months old. Best bet is to call RCI. Still no special assessment bill.

Do you mean "now" taking deposits, or "not" taking deposits? To my knowledge, though I haven't checked in the last several days, RCI had suspended indefinitely...I hope they are now taking deposits, and I guess I should call them...thanks for the info.

No I did not mean 'now'. I have heard they were, then they weren't, then they were, now they aren't again. And as Tony said, the stuff that comes in the mail is old so who knows if that is true.
I have all my units deposited and my last one with TPI so I do not know for sure.
Please let us know what RCI says."If a Nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.... If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed."

I am not sure why I cannot edit my original post to reflect the invoice I received.
Levy for 2007 is 2237.58 Rand"If a Nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.... If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed."
