The Seapointer
The Seapointer has lost their affilation with RCI and have structural damage as of about a year ago...
You can count on a big special assesment in the near future also as its going to cost about 1 million to fix..
I spoke to Trading Places and they will allow you to exchange the Seapointer with them as long as you give it to them 6 months prior to your week #
I sold about 50 of these 7 years ago and I own one also.... I hope they do get their RCI back soon because it has been a very good trader.

I just got my Seapointer Levy statement dated May 31 2008 which I pre-paid and the amount was ZA.R 2,506.09. Well last week I finally got my extortion letter....mmmmm....I mean notification that we pay big special assessments or lose the timeshare and then have to pay for that too.
Special Levy: R7,000 to R8,000 = US$946 to US$1,081
A no vote on the Special Levy and they end the timeshare scheme and refurbish and rent out the units. If this happens then they are going to charge another Special Levy of R2,000 so they can refurbish for permanent non timeshare renters.
Oh well.....I got full use out of it and it will just die on the vine. What to do with Seapointer weeks?
Anyone else out there that currently owns and/or owned weeks at the Seapointer in S.A.?
What is the best course of action to deal with these weeks?
The options I see are:
1.) Convert to the FlexiClub scheme?
2.) Keep paying the Levy and assessments each year?
3.) Deed-back to First Resorts/Seapointer, if they allow?
4.) Stop paying the levies and/or assessments?
If anyone out there has actually had some success and would like to share their knowledge, I would greatly appreciate your knowledge.
Is anyone aware of any negative results that could occur?

If you read the horror stories from Crimeshare about Flexi-club and Bullfrog Lamont's other shady operations, you certainly do not want to go there. I certainly would not meekly surrender and give back the weeks, which is letting him profit from his thuggery. While I don't how one would do it, the fitting thing would be to get a bunch of Seapointer victims to deed their weeks to the Russian mafia and then watch in amusement as Lamont had to deal with bigger thugs than himself.

Well, if you know of anyone that I can transfer them too besides the Seapointer/Lamont. Let me know, I am not confident enough to remain in the scheme with a possibility of a dividend being paid out in the future. Who is to say that the profits will not be eaten up by Lamont for running the condo. What them sell them off as condos and make a fortune. Ugh!

Number 4.......is the only option. They are going to take it one way or another...why throw any good money after bad. Don't make it easy on them. They are accepting deed backs...I say let them just foreclose on it.

Levy just arrived in the mail
I just received an invoice for the levy; regular mail and certified. I sent an email off to the lady I relinquished too and she advised me that they would take care of it since I had relinquished my two weeks back in December.
I have personally just moved on from my Seapointer timeshare. Deeded it back and bought new weeks here in the good 'ole USA.
