    This one's kinda strange.

It says they own a lot of weeks there. It says May, June, July, Thanskgiving and Christmas are in high demand, so they request reserving at least a year in advance. Then, the weeks listed are May, June, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, for this year.

Bluegreen reservations are at 11 months out those weeks fall well within the window of a points owner. I would imagine they have very few full weeks left for summer 2011.

Which is true of all cl ads, unless the advertiser chooses to identify themselves.

As you probably know, cl is problematic. 90% of replies I get to cl ads are spam/scam trying to establish my identity, get a true email address.

What's the odds that someone actually owns as many weeks as that ad suggest they do?

There are 15 listed, and they are only the special times mentioned. I am assuming they also own other time.

Is there enough money in the world to own that much time at WC?

There is enough $ to own enough points to get those weeks and this renter obviously is using points because several of those weeks for rent are shorter than 7 days.

Quite a few of them are mid week ressies which are far less in points than Fri/Sat nights and May is still low season where saved points could be used.

So are they using their ownership as a rental business?

Do they have to own at WC to do that? or, can they use BG points to get WC, and then rent it?

I do know a former business acquaintance who owns a lot of time at WC. We ran into him one of the times we stayed there.

                  Here's the deal

They don't have to own at BC to do that, and they don't have to own those specific weeks.

I could add up for you how many points those specific reservations would cost if you like.

With Bluegreen, you can book any week or partial week at 11 months from the reservation date regardless of what you own. Points are points.

The majority of my 82,000 points are deeded at Big Cedar.

No need to add up the ones in the ad, but, how many peak weeks . . . June 1 - Aug. 10, plus Thanksgiving, could you get? Veterans Week is a Peak week here, too.

I'm skeptical about Christmas week itself, or New Years, being scarce.

                          Big Cedar reservations

If you own Bluegreen, it would be easy to get all these reservations if you had the points available.

All of these are studio or one bedroom so you probably wouldn't even have to book them immediately at the 11 month mark except for the holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July).

Summer 2011 is pretty much sold out so getting these for THIS summer = no way. Getting them 11 months in advance = a piece of cake.

I was over there today, and to The Cliffs on Long Creek. No guard at the shack at Long Creek and no sign of any common amenities under construction there. Just some friendly, wavey people.

I gotta go back over in a couple days . . . anything I need to check on?

LOL. It's not even that many points to book the 15 reservations they have listed. Studios are 5000 per week in the summer. They are doing partial weeks. I wouldn't investigate this any further, you may be a convert to points. We need for there to be some weeks advocates.
