Westgate South Beach

I did not want a westgate property but I still grabbed a 2 bedroom for Aug of next year. I was told the resort was redone has anyone stayed there recently that can tell me if the resort is nice or not, I have 24 hours to cancel.

I believe Lawren has stayed her and it is very nice - or else I am TOTALLY wrong - what other RCI resort is right there?
Is this the one that is also with II....let me check because if it is, she was there and liked it.

This resort is II only Resort Information about - Westgate at South Beach (Coral Sands) there is another one that is RCI about 2 miles away/

Been There

I was at this property for a visit this summer since I was in Miami. It is a DRI affiliate so I wanted to check it out in case I needed to stay there. It has the upside of being in Miami Beach, but not on the main drag though. I saw a one and two bedroom. They had a nice decor but were very small. They were nicely equipped with CD player, flat screen, dvd, etc. It is pretty tight compared to what I am accustomed to with DRI and Marriott. It's more like a big apartment building. It's between two buildings that are being refurbished. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but like I said the rooms are nice but small.

It has a very small pool, but the beach is in the back of the resort. It takes a short walk to get there. Also, there is a running path behind the resort. For its location in Miami it's not bad. I would stay there if I had to. However, it is not a resorty as I would like for that area.
