  • Please help me with my navigation app

I'm not good with technology. I have an android smartphone (HTC Vivid for ATT). It came with a bunch of apps pre-programmed in. One was called simply "navigation" and it's logo was a blue compass arrow pointing north. I used that app a lot and liked it.
Now it has simply disappeared from the phone. I have no idea why; I didn't uninstall it.
I went to the app store to get it back. There are plenty of navigation apps but I can't find the one I had.
Is anyone familiar with this app, and can anyone tell me how to get it back?
    Thank you.

Jacki, I am not familiar with your phone (I have an iPhone) but for some reason - you probably deleted the one you had from the phone.
Sometimes by doing a 'hard shutdown' it will make everything right again.

Try turning your phone off - leave it off for 5 minutes and then turn it on.
    Maybe it will come back...

another option is to go to the app store and click on 'purchased' or purchases - it should show you what you had and allow u to reload it.

That app (blue arrow icon) is part of the Google Maps app. It is possible you just accidently removed it from you home page. If so, go into your applications (bingo-card icon) and look for it there. If it is not there, go to the Google Play store and reinstall Google Maps.

        Hope that helps,
        Kurt

Thank you all. I turned the phone off, but it did not reappear. I went to Google Maps, and I see that there is a navigator in there that is much like the one I used to have. I will use that. I also went to the playstore and downloaded Navigator Launcher, which has that blue compass logo, and I think it brings me right in to the Google maps navigator without having to go through that app. Maybe that is the app I used to have, but the one I used to have just said navigator, not launcher.

          This non-techie appreciates the help!!
